We spent much of Easter weekend outdoors. The weather was lovely, and my dad came down to help us out with some projects. We had a couple of stumps removed the week before, so we filled them in with a strawberry plant and a new maple tree. We really hope these do well. On Easter Sunday, Brandon planted our garden. He did jalapenos and tomatoes from plants because these have been hard for us to start from seed in the past. We are already seeing our little plants pop out of the ground from seed. We will have lettuce, zucchini, eggplant, green beans, and brussel sprouts. We added cilantro and sweet basil to our herb section, and I planted sunflower seeds along where the fence was removed. So looking forward to our sunflower fence this summer! My hubby also put a paint/weatherproofing stain on my picnic table. He has totally despised this thing since I got it last summer, but he has been proud of his rescue of it :). We look forward to lots of fun in the sun this summer and to a bountiful garden!
